Cosm Los Angeles

Before I get started, if you’re here just to find the best place to sit at Cosm, go with Level 3 for art shows and Level 2 for sporting events.

A few weeks ago, I got to check out the Cosm here in Los Angeles, and honestly, I was shocked at how real and immersive the experience was. You actually feel like you’re in the show. We saw the double feature “Orbital” and “Liquidverse,” which was a super cool first time experience. Between the two, I liked “Orbital” more, there was narration that gave context to what we were seeing, which helped me feel more connected.

“Liquidverse” started off really cool too, but it dragged a bit. It was basically a paint show synced to music, the paint and music was all made just for this and created by hand. While the visuals were cool at first, it could’ve been 10 minutes tops. I was kind of ready for it to be over, lol. The

There’s really no way to explain it that does it justice, you just have to experience it for yourself. Right now, Cosm is only in Los Angeles and Dallas, so if you’re in either city, it’s worth checking out.

Now, as for seating: based on my experience sitting in Level 2, I’d say Level 3 is probably the best for art shows. Even on Level 2, I found myself straining my neck to catch parts of the screen. I can’t even imagine sitting on Level 1, you’re basically on the ground, and I’d definitely hate it. For sporting events though, Level 1 might be decent since you’re not constantly looking up. Still, I’d personally prefer Level 2 just to be at more of an eye-level view.

You are able to order food and drinks to your seat. Now this part, I have never been a fan of anywhere because I hate eating full meals in the dark. I would prefer to go early, order and eat while the lights are still on. I also don’t like hoe the reverse have to try and duck and dodge other audience members to get to you. If you love the idea of seat service, you will enjoy this. I will day, the tables are a little small, be mindful when ordering multiple items.

Finally, Cosm has a general admission ticket for $11 - $22 depending on the type of event. You can be in the building to catch whatever is being played on large TV screens. During sporting events it’s basically a sports bar. In Los Angeles there is even a rooftop where essentially you could even take your laptop and sit and work there all day with your GA ticket. You are able to order for and drinks in the GA area as well. I just noticed on the website they now have an even cheaper options of ~$6 for Level 1 of GA.

This is full access with reserved seating in the dome. You can sit and hang anywhere in the entire venue.

This is the GA access, you can sit on a first come first serve basis anywhere that is blue. The purple are all of the screens you can view.

This is the GA Level 1 only. The purple is the screens you have viewing access to.
